Ducks vary across a large number of waterfowl species. They eat grasses, aquatic plants, fish, insects and small crustaceans. Ducks are generally monogamous, although these bonds usually last only a single year. These two photos illustrate two different species and both genders. The female with chicks is a Pintail, Anas acuta. The flying male, called a drake, is a Mallard, Anas platyrhynchos. Tilt the card left to right and/or up and down to see 2 different images.
