Reached by a strenuous four-mile trail up 2,200 feet of elevation, from Observation Point one may gaze at eroded sandstone cliffs of cream, pink and red from the rim of Zion Canyon. The Canyon, 15 Miles long and about a half mile deep, was carved by the North Fork of the Virgin River. Establish in 1919, Zion National Park is located at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and Mojave Desert, Offering visitors an unusual variety of plants and animals
